Discharge dilution

Dit college gaat over de verdunning van stoffen in stromend water. Er zijn twee mogelijkheden om dit te meten. Door bovenstrooms een eenmalige injectie van een meetbare stof te doen of door een constante injectie te doen. Na de injectie wordt benedenstrooms de concentratie stof gemeten waaruit de verdunning kan worden bepaald.

This lecture contains dilution measurements. A known amount of tracer is added upstream with a sudden injection or a constant rate injection. After that the concentration of tracer is measured downstream. With this information the dilution can be calculated.
