The stability equations derived in section 3.2 are solved in this lecture for various boundary conditions. The Euler buckling load is derived for a simply supported beam, but also the buckling loads and modes for beams with other boundary conditons are derived. The lecture is concluced with an explanation of the effective length of a beam.
