2.2.2 Lecture: Metals and Polymers

Course subject(s) Module 2. Materials and Manufacturing Methods

Each material has its own characteristics, such as strength, density and ductility. Making clever use of the characteristics allows us to design the most effective structure. In next video, Jos discusses the main characteristics of metals and polymers.

There is a small error on the slide at 1:20. The correct unit for density of carbon steel is approximately 7800 𝑘𝑔/𝑚3.
