Although we all use materials daily, we often don’t really think about materials as a building block to create and design things. In this part of the course, we will introduce you to materials and focus on the materials used in aerospace.

We start off by looking at the core constituents of the materials discussed and how they can be transformed into a semi-finished product that can be manufactured into a finished object.

We will then focus more on the typical aerospace materials and finish off by discussing their properties and applications with plenty of real-life examples of their use in and outside of aerospace.
