5.3.1 Introduction to Designing Space Structures

Course subject(s) Module 5. Selection of Materials and Structures

In this section, we will be doing some real rocket science. No, we will not see if we reach escape velocity, but we will check to make sure that the whole thing (the spacecraft, that is) does not fall apart when it is being severely shaken whilst being launched into space.

We will start of by letting Hannah Hypothesis explain why we do not always have “Good Vibrations” and that you can really have bad vibes. The good news is we will also show you how you can avoid these in your spacecraft and we will even crack some numbers, just for the fun of it!
