Advanced Beam Theory

In the lecture 1, an introduction to beams will be given. In next, the “degrees of freedom” will be explained. After that the corresponding section forces and moments through the using of the virtual work of internal forces are derived. In the lecture 2, equations of equilibrium, with and without the Euler-Bernouilli assumptions, will be taught. The lecture 3 deals with strain energy in extension and bending.
