The Bachelor’s programme in Industrial Design Engineering lasts three years. The academic year is split into four quarters, each lasting ten weeks. For the first two years, you will at any given moment be following two parallel courses of equal size. These will alternate between theory, practice and projects. At the end of each course, there is an examination, assignment and/or paper.
The courses sometimes require you to work alone while at other times you will be working in groups. In the third year of study, you will choose a minor and two elective courses. The third year ends with a final Bachelor’s project.
Design projects provide a thread of continuity throughout the programme as a whole. These projects provide the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills that you have acquired from the various disciplines related to IDE (see below), and you will learn to visualise, present your work and create technical documentation.
