In the course of Dredging Processes, three types of cutting processes will be explained: sand cutting, clay cutting and rock cutting. This lecture willl give you an introduction on cutting by explaining more about the Mohr circle, active and passive soil failure, the different cutting mechanisms and the cutting forces.
