We continue in this lecture on the ‘Introduction to cutting’ that was started in lecture 3. The teacher will explain about cutting forces with and without a wedge, about the snow plough effect and about wear and 3D effects. After about 50 minutes the teacher will start the lecture on ‘Sand cutting’ and will tell you more about the forces on dry sand and wet sand.
