PUCP 5 Days Workshop Lima, Peru 2012

From September 24 – 29 2012 at the Industrial Design Dept. of the Catolica University at Lima, Peru
the workshop Social City elements at the Campus applying 3-i Methodology has been conducted.
Assignments were provided by the Ducth company Grijsen, Winterswijk, one of the leading park-, and streetfurniture producers in The Netherlands.

Workshop at Chula Longkorn University Bangkok august 2013

The last week of august a workshop was held for 20 design students. The project was intended as a pilot project for a full multidisciplinairy workshop in october with students from industrial design, arquitecture, landscaping and communication design from Chula. Companies/sponsors are streetfurniture factories from the Netherlands. The Dutch ambassy is asked to take part in the Wise Owl jury. All workshops end with a student presentation/award event: The Wise Owl.

Lecture / Workshops: Chula Long Korn University Bangkok November 2014 !

Unique opportunity for streetfurniture companies in The Netherlands.

Introduction:
A limited number of Dutch streetfurniture companies is provided with the unique opportunity to give assignments to Industrial Design students from the Chula Long Korn University in Bangkok, Thailand. Students follow the Social Cohesion Design workshop provided by Clemens de Lange from the Social Cohesion Design foundation. The project consists of 3 sub-projects:

1. Introductory lecture/workshop at the company in which the 3-i Methodology is explained and the assignment for the students will be finetuned.

2. The assignment itself as conducted by the students in Bangkok during a period of approx. 2 weeks coached by Clemens de Lange at the Chula Long Korn University.
a) analysis of the company, their production technology, marketing, mission and vision, branding, website, history as the framework for the design of the so called Community Integrated Streetfurniture System, analysis of a fictive neighborhood setting consisting of households, schools, housing cooperation, clubs, churches, etc. To be discussed with the company.
b) The development of the CIPS Scenario and the ideation of a number of concepts for the streetfurniture.
c) The selection of the best concept, working out the chosen concept in 3D CAD and making a document of the 3-i proces during the workshop.

3.Evaluation lecture of the students assignments results at the company by Clemens de Lange and evaluating the design with the company.

Planning
Introductory lectures will be held in october 2014, the workshop in november and the evaluation lecture in december 2014.
